  John Chambers - Painting List
This painting was done in the late afternoon/early evening hours on the shores of Lake Ontario during the month of July.
This painting is a continuation of the idea in the studio-corner ceiling painting of enlarging the scale and painting the relationships among shapes as opposed to isolating and defining objects.
The idea for the painting was to set up the structure of the work based on the two height levels of the tables and the intersection of those unequal levels by the strong vertical window frames.

Painting Styles can be characterized by the method of application (loose or tight) or by referring to the art movement that most closely matches the predominant characteristics that the painting expresses.

The Process of Making a Painting
These original oil paintings are carefully crafted with only the very finest artist's quality brushes, paints, mediums, varnishes, canvases and linens, according to centuries-old traditions to ensure their longevity.
The finished painting is allowed to dry for a week, and then a very thin retouching varnish is applied to unify the surface of the painting.
Different paints dry at different rates, and it is important to see the entire painting with homogenous specularity to confirm all the colors are correct.
