The Book of Alma, the longest in this Bible, is largely an account of the secular affairs of the inhabitants, with stories of great battles, a prediction of the coming of Christ, and an account of a great migration northward, and the building of ships that sailed in the same direction.
Such is the book which is accepted to this day as an inspired work by the thousands of persons who constitute the Mormon church.
