		Foxtel were created to combat the threat posed to Telstra's local call business by the combination of Optus Vision (now known as Optus TV) content bundling with Optus' local telephony services.
		Foxtel has also launched Foxtel iQ, a timeshifting personal digital recorder, in which subscribers are able to record programs onto a hard drive inside the set-top unit for later viewing.
		Although TVN Racing is available to Foxtel subscribers it is not a Foxtel channel, due to Foxtel's exclusivity agreement with Sky Racing.

	Why can't the tuner card receive Foxtel?
		Foxtel has both (and you don't say which you have).
		However, you can rent a second set top box from Foxtel (I think it's around $20 a month) and put that next to the PC so you can watch a different channel to the rest of the family.
		The Foxtel satellite set top box has some data ports on the back, and I'd be interested to hear from any readers who know if these can be used to feed the digital signal direct to the PC.

		Foxtel have released their PVR (Personal video recorder), for only $100 install fee and $395 access fee and then $6 per month (unless you are on there top plan), but you never actually own the device.
		I mean your locked into Foxtel's PVR (or set-top box), which isn't an issue for someone who isn't fanatical or who doesn't have a home theater, but if you want to integrate a foxtel set top box with a media center PC or something, it's just a pain.
		Foxtel is a multinational company making billions of dollars.I think the PDR should be included in the $10.00-$15.00 per month(depending which channel package you subsribe to).The PDR really is just a recorder.
