On Saturday, June 5, 2004 at St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, Andrew Rupert Johnson KM became the first conferee in the history of the Western Association to receive the sacrament of Holy Orders and be ordained a priest.

His Most Eminent Highness, Fra Andrew Willoughby Ninian Bertie, is Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta, Most Humble Guardian of the Poor of Jesus Christ.
As we mentioned, he is the only non-Cardinal entitled to the style "Eminence." Also, as the "Fra" (from the Latin "frater," brother) suggests, he is a Religious, with public vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience.
