Framingham High School students heading back to school one week from tomorrow must wait at least another month to use the newly renovated classrooms, science laboratories, and gymnasium because of ongoing construction delays.
School officials had expected to move in to the renovated high school building by Aug. 18, the deadline by which crew members were supposed to have finished major construction on the first phase of the $54 million construction and renovation project.
School officials had been warned by contractors in July that renovations may not be complete by the start of school because of a shortage of available workers, and faculty had devised a contingency plan to begin classes on time.
