A colleague had taken a course on-line at Framingham State College, hereinafter FSC and raved at the course content, instructor and commute.
FSC is located 20 miles west of Boston and is a Massachusetts state school.
So for me, the opportunity to complete my state license requirements, learn some new skills, and use the graduate credits toward another degree all for the low cost of $200 (for me after the subsidy from my district), seemed like a very good deal.

With seven of its public colleges slated to mandate laptops within the next two years, Massachusetts is at the forefront of the movement to bring computers into the college classroom, according to the Boston Globe.
The state Board of Higher Education backs the state’s laptop initiative but allows individual campuses to decide whether to adopt it, according to the Globe.
Salem State and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will join them in instituting the requirement in the fall of 2005, and Westfield State and Fitchburg State will follow in the fall of 2006.
