Curran was a sister of the late William H. Leary, and the family formerly lived in this vicinity.
Ellen Frances Curran, wife of George Curran, 1415 South State street, passed away Thursday night at 11:20 o'clock at the family home after an illness of five months that followed a stroke of paralysis.
There also survives David Gorman, who was raised by the Currans from childhood and who is now a resident of Muskegon, Mich. He was always regarded as one of the family and beloved as such.

I was informed by Sandra White of the SNP that Margaret Curran the Minister for Parliamentary Business had said that the Freedom of Information act was being suspended in the case of Gleneagles and the G8 - a sinister development indeed.

Four MSPs - including Frances Curran and Rosie Kane - were amongst those arrested, joining the radical mixture of old and young, religious and secular who had accepted the risk of arrest to drive home the unifying abhorrence of Trident and all weapons of mass destruction.
In a blockade of the Faslane naval base on the River Clyde, near Glasgow, organised by Trident Ploughshares and Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament on August 23, police arrested 63 protesters for attempting to prevent staff from entering the base, by lying in the road or chaining themselves to the gates.
According to BBC News on August 23, protesters at the blockade had come from as far afield as Australia, the USA, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and Ireland.
