Diabetes In Control Dot Com. The weekly newsletter for medical professionals in Diabetes care.
Dr. Jean-Francois Gautier speculated that diabetic mothers' high blood sugar levels somehow affect the development of the fetus's pancreas, an organ involved in diabetes.
Gautier said that adult children of type 1 diabetic mothers "need to stay fit and lean" in order to avoid two important risk factors for type 2 diabetes -- obesity and inactivity.
During the study, published in the medical journal The Lancet, Gautier and his colleagues measured whether participants showed signs of a condition known as impaired glucose tolerance, a condition marked by elevated blood sugar levels that often precedes type 2 diabetes.

India’s Vedic History / Holocaust Museum
Gautier, born in Paris, is a French journalist and writer, who was for eight years the political correspondent in India and South Asia for “Le Figaro” and now works for Ouest-France, the largest circulation daily in France and LCI, France`s 24 hour TV news channel.
Gautier would like to have one sponsor per project --- that is, one period of Indian history, like the Portuguese rule for instance, which leads after a year of research to a traveling exhibition before being housed in a temporary museum.
Gautier is planning to be in Washington DC during the first week of May 2004 with a small Kashmiri Pandit exhibition and may travel to some other cities in the US and will try to get a Congressional hearing on the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits.

Buddha insulted in His land of birth
Gautier and the likes feel happy that this dissent is there in India due to great tolerant Hinduism, a great brahmanical tolerance which has allowed people like me or other to say these words so courageously.
If we put the point raised by Gautier to a dalit living in the outskirts if any village or those who converted to Islam in Meenakshipuram, their two sentences will expose entire thesis of Gautier, and perhaps he will not find a place to hide your disgust and illusion.
If Francois Gautier love so much to Hinduism, he must convert to Hinduism and find a Jaat (caste) for himself and write an article later on its virtues.

Type 2 diabetes linked to prenatal diabetic environment?
Jean-Francois Gautier from Hôpital Saint-Louis, Paris, France, and colleagues assessed whether prenatal exposure to a diabetic environment is associated with metabolic disorders in later adult life, which can lead to type 2 diabetes.
A third of the participants prenatally exposed to a diabetic environment from mothers with type 1 diabetes had glucose intolerance compared with none of the control group; insulin secretion was both lower in concentration and slower in release than among participants in the control group.
Jean-Francois Gautier comments: "Exposure to a diabetic environment in utero is associated with increased occurrence of impaired glucose tolerance and a defective insulin secretory response in adult offspring, independent of genetic predisposition to type 2 diabetes.

Pierre Gautier dit St-Germain was the third child of Germain Gautier dit St-Germain and of Jeanne Beauchamp.
It was only two years after the death of his wife that Pierre Gautier was chosen, during a meeting of family members and friends, to be the tutor of his children, and Jacques Tessier, one of their maternal uncles, was named sub-tutor (Judicial document 30-6-1725).
Pierre Gautier was 66 at the time he married Angélique Véronneau, and it was about time for him to retire to the village to enjoy his old age, but he still had a lot of land on his hands.

In his defence, Gautier produced several attestations by Franz Olivier Giesbert, Director of all publications of Le Figaro, praising him as very good Correspondent, whom the paper was constantly soliciting for articles and features.
Gautier also alleged that Jean Leclerc du Sablon, Head of the Asia Desk of Figaro, published without his consent a series of offending articles against India during then Indian President K R Narayanan's France visit in April 2000.
Gautier alleged that his article in the Indian Express disassociating himself from the whole episode "as it had created an outcry in India" provoked the daily to dismiss him.

IndiaStar: Francois Gautier's "Rewriting Indian History" reviewed by C.J.S. Wallia
Gautier focuses mainly on the Muslim period of India's history.
The source of Muslim's fanatical aggression, Gautier points out, is the Koran itself, from which he quotes: "Slay the infidels, wherever ye find them and prepare them for all kind of ambush"; and "Choose not thy friends among the infidels till they forsake their homes and the way of idolatory.
In the opening chapter, Gautier briefly examines the "tainted glasses" which made Euro-centered historians expound gross "disinformations" about ancient India: the discredited Aryan invasion theory; the deliberate mistranslations of the Vedas; and the erroneous theory of the origin of the caste system.

INDOlink - Book Review - Rewriting Indian History
Rewriting Indian History is a provocative new book by the French writer Francois Gautier, who currently serves as the political correspondent in India for France´s top newspaper, Le Figaro, and for Switzerland´s leading daily, Le Nouveau Quotidien.
Gautier cites two eminent historians who wrote free of any colonialist or ideological agendas, basing their accounts on documents by contemporary Muslim chroniclers themselves: Alain Danielou in Histoire de la Inde: "From the time Muslims started arriving, around 632 AD, the history of India becomes a long, monotonous series of murders, massacres, spoilations, destructions.
Gautier warns: "Even today, there is no doubt that Islam has never been fully able to give up its inner conviction that its own religion is the only true creed and that all others are kafirs, infidels.

Renowned writer and South Asian Journalist, French-born Francois Gautier today sought to point out that the problem with India was that ‘Indians are just not proud of their own history’ and obviously so when ‘Indian children are taught to think Western and not Indian’.
At a special book reading session on his recent book ‘Re-writing Indian History’ organised by the Strand Book Stall here, Francois Gautier who has been a political correspondent in South Asia for some 15 years noted ‘most of the history in Indian textbooks are those written by the British.
Pointing out that many of India’s historical problems have been just ‘swept under the carpet without facing up to them’ Mr Francois Gautier cited the case of the friendly ties between Germany and Israel that is prevalent today.
