  Frank B. Brandegee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Frank Bosworth Brandegee (July 8, 1864 - 1924) was a United States Representative and Senator from Connecticut, born in New London.
Brandegee was chairman of the Republican state convention in 1904, and was elected as a Republican to the Fifty-seventh Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Charles A. Russell.
Brandegee was interred in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New London.

The law makes no provision for a governor-elect to resign and the lieutenant governor-elect to then be inaugurated as governor...." On November 4, 1924, Bingham had been elected Governor of Connecticut.
On December 16, 1924, Governor-elect Bingham was elected U.S. Senator to fill the vacancy caused by the suicide of Senator Frank B. Brandegee.
Bingham served in the Senate from December 17, 1924 to March 3, 1933, but did not assume his Senate duties until he resigned as Governor on January 8, 1925, the day after he wrote this letter.
