Frank Bonner, former mayor of Aurora and a Beaufort County commissioner for 30 consecutive years, died Saturday at the age of 76.

 MWP: Sherwood Bonner (1849-1883)
Until recently, Sherwood Bonner was mostly remembered — when she was remembered at all — for her short fiction published in northern magazines between 1875 and 1884, fiction notable for its humor and local-color dialect.
Bonner had published her first story in 1869 and had corresponded with editor Nahood Capun; now, he helped her to get her start in Boston, first as his secretary and later working for temperance reformer Dr. Dio Lewis and poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who would become her literary patron and lifelong friend.
Some Bonner materials exist in the special collections of the libraries of the University of Mississippi in Oxford and Mississippi State University in Starkville, as well as in the Marshall County Public Library in Holly Springs.

It's not so much that they broke ground, but rather that they demonstrated the drive and creativity of Muren, Allen, and matte artist Jim Danforth, who made the most of the scant materials available, and didn't let a trivial consideration like lack of funds stop them from implementing their ideas.
One Equinox actor, Frank Bonner, went on to a successful career, including a stint as Herb on "WKRP in Cincinnatti." Still, the acting here is uniformly amateurish at best—a fact that filmmakers Muren, Danforth, and writer-co-director Mark McGee graciously blame on their shoddy direction and screenwriting.
On disc two, we get "The Supplements." These are interviews with Muren, Bonner, and two other actors, plus deleted scenes and outtakes (the latter only minimally interesting).
