General Manager Jim Bowden, whose contract was extended through April, initially said he wanted to wait for a new owner to be named before deciding whether to bring back Robinson.
But with baseball haggling with the District Council on a stadium lease, delaying a decision on a new owner, Tavares is pushing Bowden to decide on Robinson's fate before baseball's winter meetings begin Monday in Dallas.
Complicating matters is that Bowden remains a candidate for the general manager's job in Boston.

From writings left by my great aunt Eloise, I show that Frank Bowden (the elder) was born Feb. 27, 1845 in Marion Alabama.
The house where Thomas B. lived in at the time of his death in Montgomery is now a B&B. I found the elder Frank on a 1880 Census in Sealy, Austin County.
