Frank Klees (born March 6, 1951 in Stuttgart, West Germany) is a politician in Ontario, Canada.
At the age of 5, Klees came with his family to Canada by boat and settled in Leamington, Ontario.
Klees increased his profile during the campaign, and is currently the Progressive Conservative education critic in the Legislature.

Klees referred to studies of childhood cancer by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which classified EMF as "possibly carcinogenic." He pointed out that a recent UK survey found that young children living within 100 metres of high voltage power lines have twice the risk of developing leukemia.
Klees exercised his rights under the legislature's Rules of Order to demand a separate debate on this issue, claiming that he was not satisfied with the minister's response.
Klees has also tabled 7 specific questions on this issue in the legislature to which the Ministry of Education is required by parliamentary rules to respond to in writing within 24 sitting days.

Klees the absent minister should have pushed for a spring election, the longer they wait the better for Liberals.
Klees is too popular and does his job too well to not win again with near 60%.

This is all working to Tory's benefit - Frank is draining support from Jim, and Tory is being seen as the "Ernie we should have elected.” There is no risk of Tory asking the same campaign team to run his camp.
This happens to at least one candidate per leadership (the disarray part, not getting smacked around by Frank Klees), but what makes this a bit peculiar is that, until a few months ago, Flaherty was actually considered the favourite.

The first time occurred when he withdrew in a huff from the race to lead the Canadian Alliance due to his outrage over a donor's alleged attempt to leverage a large donation in exchange for a promise of second-ballot support to another candidate.
Klees is hardly alone among Conservatives in favouring a two-tier approach (not that the Liberals are much better, but I'll save the full details of their hypocrisy for a future column).
That may be fine with Klees, Stronach and Harper, but it's not OK with Canadians.
