The man of the house, Chelsea central defender Frank Leboeuf, is proud of the part he has played in the club's most successful era and shares the supporters' dream of bringing the League Championship to Stamford Bridge for the first time in 45 years.
Leboeuf and his team-mates are now in Belgium, at their pre-Euro 2000 base in a retreat some 15 miles from Brussels, fresh from the impressive 5-1 win over Morocco in Casablanca on Tuesday.
Leboeuf, with his shaven head and the extravagant gestures allied to immense ability as a central defender, is an easy target for rival supporters.

Leboeuf was born in the south of France in Marseille on 20 January 1968, but made his name in the north, during five seasons with Strasbourg.
Leboeuf put behind him a difficult season in domestic football to be a member of the France squad that won Euro 2000, with a 2-1 win over Italy.
There were some complaints from the footballing central defender that he was being 'roughed up' in the Premiership and for a time he suffered torrents of abuse but he had the last laugh with success in the summer competition.

 [No title]
Leboeuf has the lot, good in the air, supreme tackler, great organiser, can hit 60 yard passes with ease, deadly bursting forward, scores goals, never misses penalties.
It seems amazing now, but when he arrived people were saying Frank who?, a player who somehow managed to keep himself quietly tucked away in the French leagues, but is now regarded as one of the best in Europe.
It's Leboeuf's rotten luck that means that one of the few better sweepers in the world, Laurent Blanc, also happens to be French and has limited Leboeuf's national caps.

Frank Leboeuf playing in MLS - BigSoccer
Djorkaeff or Leboeuf are insignificant quantities compared to the full rosters, i agree, but they are world champs, so we talk about them.
I don't know why LeBoeuf is saying this, but I think the odds of the Galaxy wanting him to play for a few months is pretty slim, and I certainly don't think they would be able to pay him what he would want.
I wasn't suggesting that the MLS was a retirement league, but the Leboeuf transfer is pointless, you have to agree on that.

Leboeuf's strengths are his distribution and runs out of defence.
He is also a good reader of the game, but can sometimes be made to look uncomfortable under an aerial bombardment and has risked the ire of opposition fans and players for his apparent play-acting when fouled.
