	Frank Tovey/Fad Gadget (Mute)
		Frank's next work would sever the cord to his electronic recordings irrevocably, but first Mute collected together the work of his previous incarnation for the 'Fad Gadget Singles' album, which was released in November 1986.
		Frank made a brief, and typically extreme move into mainstream-baiting with the Mkultra project, a collaboration with visual artists Malcolm Poynter and Simon Stringer, which resulted in the 'Immobilise' single of November 1987.
		Tovey loved the idea that the strength of these songs lay in their seeming simplicity, and that the themes they traversed were just as relevant in 1989.

		Frank Tovey will be best remembered as one of the Electronic pioneers who, alongside Human League, Cabaret Voltaire and The Normal, were at the forefront of the Electronic Movement of the late '70s/early '80s.
		Frank Tovey was the first signing to the Mute label with the release of his debut single, the ground breaking 'Back To Nature' in October 1979.
