Kazarian started at number one and was one of the final three participants, but was eliminated by The Amazing Red, who in turn was eliminated by Petey Williams.
Kazarian was put in the same situation at November's Victory Road where he entered number one in a 20-man X Division Gauntlet and was the last man eliminated.
Kazarian's contract with TNA expired in September 2004 and was not renewed, but he continued working with the company on a per appearance basis.

Frankie Kazarian: I tried to look at it as a positive chance for a crossover since Jeff Hammond is respected on the NASCAR circuit and is part of the FSN TV announcer teams.

Kazarian continued to travel to finish out 2002, heading to Birmingham, England to tag with Nathan Jones to defeat Disco Inferno and Johnny Swinger on November 29 and then travelling back to Zero-One in Japan in December, teaming with Low Ki in a losing cause against Masato Tanaka and Tatsuhito Takaiwa.
Kazarian left TNA in October 2003 and worked several UPW shows, even winning the Light Heavyweight Championship and retaining the title against Jerry Lynn and Evan Karagias on UPW's 5th Anniversary show in Anaheim, California on February 20, 2004.
Kazarian returned to the independent circuit, wrestling for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, World Series Wrestling in Australia and winning the UXW title, defeating Elix Skipper and, in May 2006, defeated A.J. Styles and Teddy Hart to win the JAPW Light Heavyweight Championship.

Outlook - Frankie Kazarian has good potential with his good looks, fun style and he has been a solid hand for various indy groups for a few years.
Kazarian lacks the insane highspots of some and the ability of others, but he's still improving fairly steadily.

Kazarian has been paired up with Michael Shane and wrestled on TNA’s Against All Odds PPV show this past Sunday.
Being that Kazarian has been featured on television quite regularly this year, why wouldn’t TNA have taken the time to ensure that he was a) happy as an employee of the company, and b) locked into a long term deal?!
If Kazarian was to be placed on television then the company should have looked at the long term prospects.
