	District of Franklin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The District of Franklin was a former regional administrative district of Canada's Northwest Territories.
		The district consisted of the Canadian high Arctic Islands, notably Ellesmere Island, Baffin Island, and Victoria Island.
		Along with the District of Keewatin and the District of Mackenzie, it was one of the last remaining districts of the old Northwest Territories before the formation of Nunavut in 1999, at which point it ceased to exist.

		The North Franklin County resident said he hopes a mosquito control district meant to curb the spread of diseases extends beyond the county's most populated areas.
		Harvey Crowder with the health district said education and preparedness by residents may limit mosquito bites, but that is not enough to stop the spread of the West Nile Virus.

	Heritage Foundation - Welcome
		Franklin's Annual Main Street Festival is always the last full weekend in April.

	Franklin Historic District
		The town of Franklin was founded in the spring of 1860 by Mormon pioneers moving north through the Cache Valley of Utah.
