Vranitzky said Berisha was also discussing with opposition leaders their demand for a caretaker government to run the country until new elections.

Vranitzky, convinced of the fact that all the Albanian political forces and people accepted the normality and calmness of the election process, left Albania, segments of the old policy within the DP and irresponsible politicians are trying cunningly to bring back the old tactic of boycotting and contesting of elections.
Through contesting in the election authority (CEC), these segments, acting as it seemed on the awareness of Berisha who has stated that will keep his promises, are trying to block the final official results and normal development of the second round of elections.
