Frazer Nash was the first section to be created by the VSCC in 1948 and today, although operating independently, remains closely affiliated to the VSCC.
The FRAZER NASH CAR CLUB, founded in 1933, became a Section of the Vintage Sports Car Club in 1948 and was re-formed in December 2005 as the Frazer Nash Car Club Limited (FNCC), an independent company, limited by guarantee.
Its purpose is to encourage the preservation of chain-driven Frazer Nash and GN cars, to maintain a register of all existing cars and to provide a means of interchange of technical information and spares.

The 'New Frazer Nash.' was notable for the use of the overhead valve 1500cc Meadows engine (though the supercharged Anzani was retained for competition cars), and featured a painted aluminum or fabric covered steel body called the “Sportop”.
During the early 1950s, Frazer Nash were appointed UK concessionaires for Porsche cars, and this soon led to the running down of Frazer Nash assembly.

In the Anzani-engined 'Nash, three-speed (four to special order) and reverse chain drive and quarter-elliptic springs were used as on the G.N., and coupled with elegant and very light aluminium coachwork gave an extremely snappy performance.
Considering its fairly low price of £315, the "Nash", though distinctly crude in places, with almost solid suspension at low speeds, represented very good value for money, for such performance could not be bought elsewhere for the same cost.
The Frazer Nash was always and still is in a class by itself.

When Frazer Nash and Bristol were connected for a while the engine production was taken over by the aeroplane company, fitting it into their own designs and supplying also Frazer Nash for their sports cars.

In 1929 H. Aldington took over the company and in 1934 began importing the German BM W car; clearly the days of the archaic chain-drive cars were numbered, though a trickle continued to be made up until 1939.
By contrast, the post-war Frazer Nash was a far more sophisticated product, using as its power unit the 2-litre pre-war BMW 328 engine, jointly developed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company and the Aldington brothers.
