		Baker is predominantly known among Canterbury music fans for his work with Phil Miller's In Cahoots and his duo album with Miller, "Double Up" (1992); however, the bassist is also a respected musician on the British jazz and folk music scenes.
		Baker's first instrument was the guitar, until he took up electric bass in his mid-teens, with a background in both jazz and classical music.
