The I-80 bridge over the Des Plaines River is a cantilever bridge that is six lanes wide -- three lanes traveling eastbound and westbound.
A pair of downhill s-curves approach the bridge, and the speed is reduced to 45 mph (70 km/h) from 65 mph (100 km/h).
The bridge is located on the south side of Joliet, Illinois and connects U.S. Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 52/Illinois State Route 53.

Q: I belong to a national organization and I have been asked to put together a basket of items (merchandise) that are made in the Quad-Cities.
Q: I live in Moline and have an iris plant that bloomed in the spring and it is blooming again now.
I heard that the swing span is in need of repairs so they just leave it open and the bridge itself needs a lot of improvements and probably couldn't stand the weight of the trains.

We headed east, crossed a bridge, made a right and parked quickly in a lot.
Over time, the statue became the target for rebellious "May Day" acts against the man. The word on the street is that the original statue used to get blown up, graffitied and misstreated so regularly, that eventually the statue had to be relocated to the CPD Training Academy in the West Loop.
It was all very nostalgic and fear-induced; no one could fathom what it would be like beyond the world they saw through the caliedescope bottom of their vodka drink.
