	Freddie Hart - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Freddie Segrest, Dec. 21, 1926, in Loachapoka, Alabama) is an American country musician.
		Hart got an early break in his career when singer Carl Smith covered Hart's song "Loose Talk" in 1955.
		Hart and his backup band, the Heartbeats, had hits with "Bless Your Heart" (#1 in 1972), "If You Can't Feel It (It Ain't There)" (1973), "Super Kind of Woman" (#1 in 1973), "Trip to Heaven" (#1 in 1973) and "The First Time" (1975).

		Long before Billy Ray Cyrus, Freddie Hart was the one Country performer who could be described as a "hunk." The one-time disruptive became one of the top performers of Country music during the 60’s and 70’s.
		Freddie, who had 14 siblings, got his first "guitar" when he was 5.
		Freddie started to appear at the Opry around this time and formed his group, the Heartbeats, but he was absent from the charts until 1965.

		When Hart was 16, he enlisted in the Marines by lying about his age, and served in Iwo Jima and Okinawa; during his off hours, he performed country music in officers' clubs.

		One of the two is "Why Lovers Turn to Strangers," Hart's final Top Ten hit, which shows that his ability was intact, if under-represented on the album.
