	DVD Review: Freddy Got Fingered
		He seems to have reached a triumph with "Freddy Got Fingered", a feature that many considered the worst film of the year - there were even a few that considered it the worst film ever made.
		After watching "Freddy Got Fingered" and listening to Green discuss his first directorial effort on the commentary track, I'm begining to think that this is actually what Green was intending - get 10 million from from a studio and just go wild and make something extremely stupid and surreal.
		He's got a rather sweet girlfriend named Betty, who works at a hospital and happens to be handicapped, obsessed with sex and working on a rocket-powered wheelchair.

		SOUND: "Freddy Got Fingered" suffers from "comedy audio syndrome", which is a condition that plagues the majority of comedies on DVD.
		The PG Rated version of "Freddy Got Fingered" was perhaps the one thing I was looking forward to the most on the disc.

		Torn, for example, tries his hardest with the material he's got, but really, even an Oscar-winning actor (which Torn is) cannot rise above a script that asks him to deliver a tearful speech about father/son relations while covered in the discharge of an excited elephant.
		Freddy Got Fingered likely marks the end of Green's directorial career and for good reason (though it's doubtful that even the most experienced director would have been able to find coherency in the lackluster script).

		Along the way Gord manages to manually pleasure two large land mammals (one of which is not wife Drew Barrymore, although she cameos), dances around wearing a deer carcass, licks a compound fracture suffered by his best friend, and beats his paraplegic girlfriend's (Marisa Coughlan) legs with a bamboo pole because she asks him to.
		I can't say that I understand Freddy Got Fingered, and I can't say there was much of it that I would watch again even heavily sedated, but I don't feel as though I can dismiss the film offhand.
		It's clear that Green was attempting to avoid recognizable moments in Freddy Got Fingered, thereby robbing the audience of relief from the strangeness and the almost physical distastefulness of the film.
