		The student's freedom is also at stake here; his ability to judge and his ability to conduct a free inquiry of his own are being trained and tested, and a curriculum of fixed truth and indoctrination, in the view of the free university, simply cannot do that job.
		The special freedom which is more specifically academic freedom is the freedom of the teacher from his chair to teach his subject truly as he knows it.
