Freedom Party of Ontario - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Freedom Party is usually described as a party of the libertarian right, although it actually opposes libertarianism's tolerance for anarchism, and instead espouses political "freedom" in the sense that term is used by followers of Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism.
All of the party's leaders between 1987 and 2002 were from London, and the party's activities were organized primarily from that city.
Freedom Party shared the Court's view that law against the spreading of false news violates freedom of expression and, for that reason, the conviction appeared in a Freedom Party calendar as a "Dark Day in Individual Freedom" (the calendar is available online here).

The Freedom Party believes that the freedoms of the people whose ancient roots lie in the United Kingdom are being steadily encroached upon by a regime which falsely describes itself as liberal.
There are individual freedoms to hold beliefs and express opinions, and there is the freedom of peoples as a whole to preserve their identity, culture and, in the extreme, their existence.
The Freedom Party therefore wishes to encourage a climate within which citizens are not discouraged from expressing their disapproval of crime, and are permitted to take reasonable measures to protect themselves.

As the deadline for a constitution approaches, the United States and the international community must redouble their efforts to ensure that an Iran-like theocratic state is not established in Iraq.
Guaranteeing freedom of thought and conscience as an individual right for Muslims as well as for minority religious groups is essential if debate within Islam and dissent from imposed orthodoxies is to be allowed, and if the political breathing space necessary for plural and alternative voices within the Islamic tradition is to be created.
Now is not the time for the international community to take a hands-off approach, which it may be tempted to do by a false sense of cultural relativism and a misguided respect for a flawed "democratic" process that could, ultimately, lead to undemocratic results.
