	Freemans Bay School
		Freemans Bay or Waiatarau has a rich heritage as a place where people have come to think and to learn for centuries.
		Freemans Bay School is the amalgamation of two earlier primary schools, Beresford Street School and Napier Street School, which served the densely populated inner city from early this century.
		Napier Street School was rebuilt in 1974 and Beresford Street School was closed in 1977, its pupils transferring to Napier Street School.
