Why Negative Forces Often Respect Freewill by Montalk
The answer is that while reality manipulation is an acausal phenomenon that happens outside one's realm and therefore beyond the engagement range of a target's freewill, agents are within one's realm and automatically in direct engagement with an individual's freewill because of their sheer physical presence in one's environment.
Aside from the possibility that they cannot violate one's freewill because their level of being is lower, it is also true that freewill introduces nonlinearity into the dynamic and therefore makes it unpredictable.
It was the intent of this article to update and clarify the issue of freewill and awareness in the context of dealing with 4D STS and their 3D agents.

Transcending Determinism: Transcendent Freedom vs. Naive Freewill Thinking
Conventional freewill thinking and conventional (that is, Modern) determinism are both "in-time" conceptions; thinking from a point of view that rides through time with and as the "time-voyaging" ego.
Freewill -- The mind begins with freewill thinking ("the original sin") -- one is an uninitiated person.
Determinism -- The mind is purged of freewill thinking during a series of visionary-plant initiation sessions, resulting in no-free-will thinking (timeless block-universe determinism) -- one is an initiate, but not perfected.

CO04. Freedom and Freewill, or Tyranny   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
Freewill exists in the brain’s operations if we construe it as a whole because of nonlocal correlations; a property of the whole brain emerges, associated with mind and freewill, that exceeds its parts.
Freewill therefore builds from a quantum effect to carry the freedom of the uiverse and its constituents a step further.
The idea of freewill derives from the flow of time and pertains to the universe we experience rather to the Divine.

The Nature of Free Will by Peter Voss
Without freewill, if we ultimately had no control over our goals and choices, if all of our actions were simply the inevitable operation of forces outside of ourselves, if freewill was some kind of illusion, then to many of us life would seem bleak indeed.
Freewill is the extra freedom - the extra ability that we have - to create and evaluate options by projecting and understanding their implications.
Freewill is the ability to make conscious choices; choices made with awareness and understanding of their possible and probable consequences, and of the fact that we (our minds) are doing the choosing.

 Freewill and Determinism
Whilst it remains a logical possibility that freewill could have evolved naturally, just as birds evolved the ability to fly, there still remains the problem of explaining what evolutionary advantages freewill could offer, so that we could understand why it would be selected for.
Those who deny the existence of freewill argue that the idea that we can implement any piece of behaviour purely by the exercise of our ‘will’ goes against the laws of physics just as much as walking up a wall by the exercise of our will would, and so is not possible.
Consequently he proposed that human consciousness and freewill is dependent on a special type of ‘mental stuff’ which has no mass or energy associated with it and doesn’t even exist in physical space, and so was not governed by the laws of physics.

 Talkback Philosophy: Freewill battles God
One cannot choose the Good unless it is possible to also choose the bad or evil; let's call this the 'avoidablity analysis of moral freewill.' Thus, in order to create a creature capable of the highest good, God had to make a being that could choose between good and evil.
The only ways you can create freewill is to say that a god imbued us with freewill, or that some other supernatural entity or magic makes it happen.
Freewill is no more real than a fairy, there is simply no objective evidence that it exists, and it is superfluous, for the concept of freewill explains diddley squat, in my eternally humble opinion.

It is interesting, if not ironic, to note that, if freewill _is_ dependent upon whether or not some absolute chance exists, then the existence of some absolute chance would show freewill _not_ to be true.
One is the notion that determinism and freewill are independent of the subject of dualism vs. materialism.
Some say that this means freewill is only an illusion; but since freewill is just a state of mind anyway, it is not but what it appears to be.

Inerrancy of Scripture and Freewill Theory - Part 1   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-20)
The first is the humanistic notion that being "truly human" involves something called "freewill," conceived of as an innate capacity for uncaused or purely spontaneous action of a will equally capable of deciding one way or the other.
The whole point of the freewill theory is to provide a state of affairs which God has produced by not controlling the will, by not imposing his will on human choices, so that we will choose spontaneously, and freely from any causal or overriding interference which might determine the choice one way or the other.
If "God cannot ride rough-shod over the human freewill" (as they put it), he cannot exercise the control necessary to guarantee that his revelation will be any more than generally accurate.

 Freewill and determinism
Freewill is the extra freedom to create and evaluate options by understanding their implications.
Freewill does not need to deny the laws of physics; its freedom operates at a different level and is of a different type - the freedom of thought processes to monitor and modify themselves is compatible with deterministic laws.
Freewill choice is an action and has to have an "actor", it can be free only from specific causes, not from all causes.

Transcending the Control System: Why Negative Forces Seem to Respect Freewill
There are two ways to avoid violating freewill: either don’t engage it in the first place, or do only what the target permits.
Agents, because they are in one’s realm already and in engagement with a target’s freewill, have no choice but subtly ask permission if they wish to not violate freewill or are not able to do so.
If he were given no choice – his freewill thus being violated – then nothing he could have learned earlier would have made any difference, and thus it wouldn’t be a lesson at all.

 The Freewill Offering
Vows are a votive sacrifice, the particular animal having been unspecified when the vow was made; in a freewill offering a particular animal was specified at the time of the vow.
The difference is that in the former case, if the animal which he subsequently dedicates dies or is rendered unfit before it is sacrificed, he must bring another; but in the latter case he has no further obligation.
Raba replied: You can find a freewill offering of this kind in the case where he said, ‘I pledge myself to bring a burnt offering on condition that I shall not be obliged to replace it’.

The only way Humans can only exercise their freewill is through the conscious interpretation of angles, by deciding which route through life to take, which angular opportunities to use and which to ignore.
He can only interpret, strengthen or ignore angles, but he can’t change them or create them, except when he takes it upon himself to act as god, the god he is destined to eventually become.
A Human has freewill because his essence exists above the realms of angles, he is a being of consciousness with the ability to choose the angles he wants to utilise for the benefit of himself and his species, and the world as a whole.

 Magically/Transcendently Repostulating Freewill for Stability
Humans when young think as freewillists, because freewill is conceptually simple and is practical, an assumption and sense-feeling like animals use, and because young people have limited experience, not having undergone a series of entheogenic initiations.
The mature initiate retains the structures of freewill thinking, now "justified" and "forgiven" and "paid for" because consciously acknowledged as merely a practical, convenient illusion of convention the cosmos uses to get its work done.
High magical thinking could be defined as rejecting freewill as naive and rejecting determinism as true but finite and practically problematic as in leading to self-control seizure.

"Freewill" is a philosophical rocker dealing with personal beliefs (e.g., god, fate, stars) and the consequences - positive or negative - of them.

All the musicians are at their loosest, most-inspired, and most-baroque (however that works: guess you would have to ask them); Peart's lyrical approach is less sci-fi and more philosophically direct, and therefore better; the compositions are at their leanest and hungriest.

Unfortunately, many people from the Reformed camps run around saying "we have no freewill." Wright's book may lead someone to do just that, but Wright isn't denying all forms of freewill, he is denying libertarian free will specifically.
Towards the end of his book, he explains what it is for a Calvinist to say someone freely chooses something; but you have to be alert, it comes up in a sentence or two.
As for whether freewill theory is Biblical, Dr. Wright correctly notes that if any of the Five Points of Calvinism are true, then there can be no freewill in the Arminian sense.
