  Arromanches (R 95) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
She was the name-ship of the Colossus-class Light Fleet aircraft carriers, and were basically smaller derivatives of the Illustrious-class carriers.
She was renamed Arromanches in 1946 and lent to the French Navy.
She returned to France in 1949 and was purchased by the French in 1951.

The Arromanches is the prototype of a new class of carrier (ten ships were built).The construction of the ship began in June 1942, at Vickers-Armstrongs Naval Shipyard.
The ship was lent to the French Navy by the Royal Navy in 1946, and was finally bought in 1951.
At the end of her life, she was used as a training carrier (Fouga Zéphyr CM-175s were embarked aboard) and as a helicopter carrier for the French Marine Corps.

Locator holes are present on the underside of the aircraft for placement of the struts.
The brief instructions are written in French but the blowup diagram clearly shows the placement of the photoetch and resin parts.
