		My motivation was really to build a cheap instrument to lay down bass tracks for jamming with, hence building from scratch, but frankly its cheaper to buy an inexpensive finished instrument.
		I simply did not have the skill or equipment to position frets correctly at the time, it doesn't demand an adjustable truss rod and besides a fretless instrument is really much cooler and more versatile than a fretted one.
