To avoid an extrapolation to active substances concentrations far below the concentrations at which the empirical Freundlich equation was derived the Freundlich isoterm is always set to 1 when the sorption in the river was determined.
To avoid an extrapolation to active substances concentrations far below the concentrations at which the empirical Freundlich equation was derived, linear sorption is always assumed for the streams and ponds.
It is important to note that if the Freundlich isotherm is used, the value of Kf is very sensitive to the units.

 Greatest Ideas
He had worked with the German astronomer, Erwin Finlay Freundlich (1885-1964), to measure Mercury's orbit to the extent required to confirm the General Theory of Relativity.
In 1926, Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger produced the basic wave equation of quantum mechanics.
On 25 November 1915, Einstein submitted his paper entitled The Field Equations of Gravitation; this paper gave the correct field equations for general relativity.

Though Aczel's analysis of Einstein's work requires familiarity with advanced mathematics, that analysis makes up only a minor portion of his book, and most readers will appreciate the author's inclusion of the great physicist's letters to astronomer Erwin Freundlich.
Translated here for the first time, they give a glimpse of Einstein's ambition and of his occasional indifference toward collaborators who were no longer useful to him.

Redlich Peterson isotherm equation represents the equilibrium curve to follow Henrys law and the curve behavior follows Freundlich isotherm equation at higher initial solute concentrations.
Another equilibrium model derived from the limiting behavior of Freundlich and Langmuir equilibrium model is Sips or Langmuir-Freundlich model.
The another most commonly used equilibrium model to predict the sorption nature is Dubinin Raduskevich model and it is used to calculate the mean free energy of sorption as it is transferred to the surface of solid from infinite distance in the solution.

AWM's Adsorption page - General/Global integral equation (GIE)
If energy dispersion is high, the sensitivity of adsorption to the changes of pressure (or concentration) at moderate coverages will be much weaker than in the case of Langmuir isotherm (will resemble the middle section of Generalized Freundlich, Langmuir-Freundlich, Tóth etc. isotherm)
This local isotherm equation describes adsorption on energetically homogeneous surface, however the weight factor is a non-negative differential energy distribution function

The Langmuir and the Langmuir-Freundlich equations are used to incorporate the Ideal Adsorbed Solution Theory to predict the multicomponent data.
Novel film-pore and film-pore-surface diffusion models derived by incorporating a Langmuir-type isotherm equation, shrinking core model and mass balance equation, were used to correlate the experimental data for single component systems.

DESORPTION STUDY OF CRUDE OIL IN YUMEN DIGGINGS'S CONTAMINATED LOESS SOILS
With the desorption constant and desorption isotherm obtained, the results gained indicate that Freundlich equation is more suitable for the desorption of crude oil in Yumen's case.
Since anion surfactant contributes to the increase of the negative potential energy in the oil and soil, it is also beneficial to strengthen the repulsive force of the crude oil and soil, so as to lead to the desorption content increase in the oil.
It has been discovered in our experiment that the anion surfactant intributed to the desorption of the oil in Yumen case is able to boost the desorption rate by 5 times as high as that of the original.

 Langmuir equation
The graph shows data points and lines fitted to both Freundlich and Langmuir equations.
The idea is to imagine a data set and to observe that either equation can usually fit pretty well if you fiddle with the coefficients.

Valeric acid adsorption from aqueous solution was measured at 333 K. The calculated isotherms showed a good fitting to the Freundlich equation.
The amount of valeric acid adsorbed at its low concentration is dependent on the number of basic groups, whereas at high concentration the amount adsorbed depends on the volume of micropores smaller than 10 Angstrom, where the adsorption potential is the strongest.
Adsorption of valeric acid was studied on two activated carbons of different origins, wood and bituminous coal.
