Freyr has been holed up in 'Neo' for quite some time, but yet has been going into the house at times to eat and keep an eye on Kazumi.
From what Freyr has been able to find out, there is some force that is approaching Midg-err...Tokyo, but it is able to cloak itself.
One other thing Freyr can figure out is that it is not from Muspelheim *sigh of relief*, Jotanheim, or any other worlds Freyr would be familiar with, so that leaves out Asgard as well.

I disagree that Ing is identical to Freyr.
(Gothic and Anglo-Saxon texts both use cognates of "Freyr" to refer to Jesus.) As for the theory that he is Tyr's descendant...that doesn't seem to mesh with Freyr as one of the Vanir, since Tyr is definitely and consistently identified as Aesir in the lore.
