		The origin of the Friday the 13th superstition has been linked to the belief that there were 13 people at the last supper of Jesus, who was crucified on Good Friday, but it probably originated in medieval times.

		The movie is courageous enough to suggest that without this magical switch, mother and daughter are in danger of drifting apart forever.
		The movie may not be quite up to "The Princess Diaries" of a few years ago, but it's a very good, very satisfying night out at the movies.

		There was a classic epic score (that was oddly reminiscent of Lawrence of Arabia) and a classic epic ending too (without wanting to spoil it for anyone, it ends the same way as a good 50% of all old fashioned epics).
		I think what I really loved about the film was that it was the sort of movie that hasn't been made for a long time, but it fairly tastefully used the methods available nowadays to make it as quality as possible.

		I think the movie could've gone one step further and shown that these problems could've been solved using only brain and without any brawn.
		There's not a lot to say about the plot either, except that it does indicate a radically different way in which interesting movies can be made without too high of a budget.
		In my view, this marks the view of a genre of movies aimed towards a particular market (and I don't necessarily mean a fl audience, but rather a market that prefers things to be as "real" as possible---have you ever eaten cereal without milk?).

		The most likely scenario that wouldn’t involve the whole thing being bullshit is that Welling and Rosenbaum would play their respective characters in a prologue before they’re aged up and played by different actors, or used in flashback scenes to the same effect.
		From what I hear, this is not going to be some warmed over re-hash of the 1986 cult classic movie, either.
		I love these kinds of movies, where the comedy is smart and unhinged, and the promotion has me thinking that, if it delivers, this will be one of my favorite films of the fall.

		Review (B) Next Friday marks the return of Craig (Ice Cube), this time looking at a day in his life as he visits his cousin in the suburbs, becomes the target of a Mexican gang, and an object of revenge for Debo, the man whom Craig put in jail a few years back.
		The movie is almost slapstick but not quite, because any of this stuff could happen, and pretty entertaining, as the situation escalates as the day goes on.
		Unfortunately, gone is Smokey (Chris Tucker), who made up a big part of the comedy in the first movie, but Ice Cube makes up for it by making his character just a little more three dimensional, and adding some other characters that are even better.
