 Roughriders Donate $10,000 to Frisco Education Foundation
Stepping up to the plate to support Frisco Education Foundation, Mike McCall, president of the Frisco Roughriders and Jeff Cogen, president of the Rangers, presented a $10,000 check to FEF at the Rangers exhibition game against the Florida Marlins.
Accepting the check were Dr. Rick Reedy, Frisco Independent School District Superintendent, Bobby Johnson, Jr., past FEF president, K. Jonas, FEF Director, Sarah Claunch, president elect of the of FEF board and Bob Allen, current president of the FEF board of directors.
Reedy says that he is grateful for this generous gift from the roughriders and hopes that the tremendous partnership between FISD and this ball team will continue through the years.

Thanks to the RoughRiders' front office (particularly their wonderful VP of Communications, Shellie Johnson), I was given several tours of the park while it was being built, so I knew in advance that something special was being constructed here.
But the aesthetics of a ballpark are only as good as the original "concept" envisioned by the architects, and this case, the credit for Frisco's innovative layout goes to the design architect for this project, David M. Schwarz.
There is one element of Frisco's park that isn't up to the standards of the rest of the facility -- and it is an aspect that is so inadequate that one baseball official dubbed it "atrocious." That element is the press box.
