It ran for three series of 13 half-hour episodes and was broadcast on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 1994, 1995 and 1997.
When she is found alive, Frontline think that they have hit the ratings jackpot when they clinch the interview, but are crestfallen when it turns out she is a mediocre student with a speech impairment.
The series was extremely popular throughout its run, winning a Logie award for Most Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, and a Sydney Morning Herald industry poll rated it #2 in the 25 all-time greatest Australian TV shows.

The Australian broadcast radio spectrum was constituted of the ABC and the commercial sector.
Many notable Australians worked pseudonymously as presenters on the show, including poet A.D. Hope ("Antony Inkwell"), future ABC General Manager Talbot Duckmanton ("Tal") who hosted a weekly sports segment, actors Leonard Teale ("Chris") and John Ewart ("Jimmy") and future "Mr Sqiggle" host and film producer Patricia Lovell.
The ABC was one of the first TV networks to embrace the rock'n'roll revolution of the late 1950s, most notably with its pioneering show Six O'Clock Rock, hosted by Johnny O'Keefe.

Their second season run appears to be about five episodes behind the U.S. Some (possibly most) Latin American countries show a "ER" dubbed in Spanish on open-air television, and an English version with Spanish subtitles on cable (Sony).
However, the title has been changed (it's called Urgences in France and Salle d'urgence in Quebec) because there was already a series called Urgence in Quebec.
