A frontline is a line of confrontation in an armed conflict[?], most often a war.
On either side of the frontline stand the forces of the various combatants.
In modern warfare, due to the broken nature of mechanized combat, frontlines rarely form; instead a zone of confrontation comprises a wide band where forces engage in battle.

 Australian Programming
Perhaps the finest hour in Australian television was the broadcast of "The Moonlight State" on 11 May 1987 when Australia's premier investigative journalist, Chris Masters, demonstrated on film the illegal booze joints, the prostitution, and the gambling dens whose existence had been long denied by the self-righteous government of the state of Queensland.
Thus deprived of Australian stories on the screen, when the 1970s Renaissance occurred, the subject of the programming tended to be the indigenous classics, and contemporary themes which depended on a distinctly Australian flavor.

SOMETHING quite extraordinary happened last month and I suspect it happened to more people than just me. Don't forget too that at various times in the series, there were small, important contributions from one of the fast bowlers and in that respect, this Australian team is very similar to the West Indies team of the early 80s.
