  Quotation Marks
To close the speech, use quotation marks at the end of the final paragraph.
Put a dash, question mark, or exclamation point within closing quotation marks when the punctuation applies to the quotation itself and outside when it applies to the whole sentence.
Do not use quotation marks for common nicknames, bits of humor, technical terms that readers are likely to know, and trite or well-known expressions.

 Celtic Frost Albums & Lyrics @ SongLyricsLibrary.com
Formed from the ashes of fl/death metal band Hellhammer in 1984, the Swiss based Celtic Frost were a pivotal influence on the death, fl, speed, and gloom metal genres, pioneering many of the musical styles and avant-garde elements that have since become synonymous with bands like Sepultura, Emperor, Dark Funeral, and Enslaved.
The first virtually alienated Celtic Frost's fans, whilst the latter - regarded as a strong comeback album featuring Ain returning to the fold - was considered too avant-garde for MTV airplay, sabotaging the potential mainstream appeal of David Bowie ('Heroes') and Bryan Ferry ('This Island Earth') covers.
Several bands evolved from the ashes of Celtic Frost: guitarist Ron Marks founded the satirical 'Subsonic,' and Warrior (reverting to his surname Fischer) founded the highly regarded 'Appollyon Sun,' which continues his unique personal vision.

March 26 marks the 125th anniversary of Frost's birth, and there could be no better tribute for a poet so often underrated, maligned and misunderstood than this sympathetic and balanced portrayal.
Frost has been depicted as selfish and vindictive in biographies by Lawrance Thompson and Jeffrey Meyers, but Parini, himself a poet and novelist, sees Frost as a man who 11 struggled throughout his long life with depression, anxiety, self-doubt, and confusion.
Frost fought his own bouts with what he called "the grippe" with hard work, and thrived on outdoor labor.

QUOTATION MARKS. The Columbia Guide to Standard American English. 1993
The double quotation marks (opening “ and closing ”) are used to enclose the words of a direct quotation: She said, “I’ll never see you again.” (They are never used in indirect quotation: She said she’d never see him again.
If you decide to use quotation marks instead, however, the usual procedure is to begin each paragraph of the long quotation with quotation marks but to use a closing quotation mark only at the end of the final sentence in the quoted passage.
In American writing, however, single quotation marks are restricted mainly to enclosing a quotation within a quotation: The dealer said, “I’m sorry, I thought you said ‘I pass.’” Note that a period goes inside both final quotation marks when the two quotations end together.

 Thierry Smolderen article on Frost
A.B. Frost, combining his Pennsylvania Academy connections and his professional career with leading national magazines, was the perfect bridge between the avant-guardist researchs of Eakins and Muybridge, and the new aesthetic induced by the mass-reproduction of pen drawings by means of photographic processes.
Frost is thus one of the first draughtsmen afterTöpffer, to re-encounter the conditions (and potentialities) of true autographic drawing which Töpffer exploited fifty years earlier.
Frost's comics combine the energetic swiftness of the pen-line with the hilarious behaviour of unpredictable animals ; his natural talent for mimicry and improvisational humour generates fascinating scripts of actions, whose temporal dynamics he has the scientific know-how to accurately transcribe in sequences of still drawings.

Unlike cropmarks, frost marks and soil marks they require upstanding features to work and are therefore more commonly seen in the context of extant sites rather than previously undiscovered buried ones.
This causes long shadows to be cast by the higher features, which are illuminated from one side by the sun, with dark shadows marking hollows and depressions.
Shadow marks are best viewed obliquely rather than from directly above in order to emphasise the effect of the shadows.
