Urban Legends Reference Pages: Frosties Kid Suicide
The child actor who sang "They're gonna taste great" in a Frosties commercial committed suicide (or was murdered by bullies, or died of cancer).
On watching it yesterday my 15 year old son mentioned that he had heard in the playground chatter at school that the 'star' of the ad was in fact a terminally ill boy who had been granted the appearance as his dying wish.
The Frosties rumor is akin to a venerable urban legend that attached to another annoying child who appeared in another breakfast cereal commercial.

This eventually turned out to be untrue though, and the Frosties kid was found alive and well in Argentina, where the former he works as a cabaret singer.

The Kingdom - 2003/03/12: Basketball: Saints break Frosties hearts
Frosties had Rosco Patterson in for the departed Chris Davis and, while Patterson did a great job defensively, he just could not buy a basket at the other end and that is not surprising since he has not played top flight basketball all season.
Frosties refused to accept defeat and put in a stirring final quarter with Donaghy, Culloty and Trimmer bringing Frosties within two points as the Saints did not score a field goal for over five minutes.
Frosties were 82-72 clear with just 3:30 left and a long awaited win looked on the yards for the Tralee youngsters.
