  Climbing Mt. Fuji
Fujisan is of course the tallest (3776 meters – 12,290 feet) in Japan, but also it is a holy mountain very much revered by every Japanese person.
Fujisan is not super high… it would be a representative mountain in the Rockies or the Alps, but not the tallest in those ranges.
Fujisan… a mountain that is strangely barren and featureless and at the same time powerfully beautiful and magnetic.

Fujisan, or 'Mount Fuji', by Hon'ami Koetsu (1558-1637), is one of Japan's most revered Tea bowls.
It is said that Koetsu softened the contrast between the fl and white glazes with 'Yohen', the technique of varying the heat intensity and atmosphere of the wood-fired kiln.
Many reproductions of this bowl have been attempted over the years, but none are said to have ever matched the beauty and dignity of the original Fujisan.

Fujisan London - Restaurant Review and Information
I'm a local that has been going to Fujisan regularly for 3-4 years and have noticed it slowly going downhill and tonight was the final straw.
The food does actually taste nice for some reason (which is why I've had a few takeaways from there) but it is not at all authentically Japanese, and is expensive for what it is. The chef has quite obviously never actually eaten Japanese food.
I have always found the service attentive and efficient, and whilst I agree that it is not the most atmospheric of dining rooms, it does have a quiet charm that allows for conversation and full appreciation of the food.

This is possible only because the 300mm view-camera lens I used was tilted so that the plane of focus is inclined nearly horizontally to pass through both subjects.
