Stretching 2Km from south to north, 16 Km from east to west and with a maximum atitude of 90m, Tottori sand dune is the largest dune in Japan.
It is said that the history of Tottori sand dune can be traced back to 100,000 years.
The sands carried by Sendai river which has its source in the Chuugoku mountain ous region and the sands carried by the coastward current of Japan sea have been gathered by the strength of winds and waves, and they have gradually accumulated over a long period of time.

At the meeting, I would like to report to them that both Tottori and Shimane prefectures agreed to set up the council in question in the future.
This comes fairly close to adhering to my vision, but the type of service I have in my mind is one which gives diversified information relating to history and literature in addition to those messages concerning the natural features of the sand dunes.
Tottori’s nature and history are displayed side by side, and that would be a positive feature that could be incorporated into the information center.

This is a winter uniform for schoolgirls of one junior high school around Fukube Station, San-in Line, in Tottori City, formerly FukubeVillage, Tottori Prefecture.
It is a navy blue eton suit with four buttons and a white blouse with a blue tie.
