Fukuroi City is located in western Shizuoka prefecture, with the city of Kakegawa lying to the east, the city of Iwata lying to the west, and town of Mori lying to the north.
Fukuroi City extends roughly 15 km east to west and roughly 17 km north to south, covering a land area of 108.56 square kilometers and accounting for 1.4% of the total land area of the prefecture.
Fukuroi City is characterized by higher proportions of the labor force in primary and secondary industries than other parts of the prefecture.

Shizuoka prefecture lies to the southwest of Tokyo, and the site of Shizuoka "Ecopa" Stadium is roughly halfway between Tokyo and Osaka.

Shizuoka Stadium is at the center of a very large sports complex, which will also serve as Japan's home base for the World Cup.

It's a tiny little place underground on the main station road of Fukuroi, with a Twister game on the floor (yes indeed) and a really friendly owner who seems to have adopted John in a way.
