Full English breakfast - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A Full English breakfast, or traditional fry-up, is a traditional breakfast meal in England.
In English hotels and bed and breakfast establishments, a Full English breakfast might include additional courses such as cereal, porridge, kippers, toast and jam or marmalade, kedgeree, or devilled kidneys.
The term "Full English" is used to differentiate between the larger multiple course breakfast, and the simpler "continental breakfast" of tea, coffee and fruit juices, with croissants or pastries.

BBC NEWS | UK | R.I.P. Full English Breakfast
Full English - or Fry-up, as it was affectionately known to those who found calorific comfort in its fried bacon, sausage, mushroom, eggs and tomato - could not survive in the modern world.
Full English was instrumental in the writing of the Monty Python spam sketch (Waitress: Well, there's egg and bacon; egg, sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg, bacon and spam..."), which gave annoying and unsolicited mass e-mails their nickname.
Rumours of the death of the full English breakfast are greatly exaggerated.

Full English Breakfast 2 by Daisy Middleton
I was fascinated to read Perry Stalsis' piece on the Full English Breakfast, not simply because I agreed with most of it, but also because, in a previous life, Mr Middleton and I ran a BandB.
I agree that most FEBs are eaten in hotels, bed-and-breakfast establishments or on trains, but for the truly vile breakfast Perry describes, you need to visit the breakfast buffet of a large British hotel, or any Trust House Forte or Little Chef.

The Full English Breakfast by Perry Stalsis
The Full English Breakfast, in contrast, provides most of its calories from saturated fat, and gives you a whopping dollop of animal protein at the same time.
A slice of white Mother's Pride contributes a bit of simple carbohydrate, along with the 30 per cent of the sausage which is likely to be rusk (refined wheat flour).
Furthermore, the FEB is almost entirely lacking in fibre (little bit in the orange juice if you go for it) and on a regular basis is a wonderful long-term recipe for gummed up arteries, high blood pressure and bum cancer.
