  Question not the Puritans
For example, on Funaoka Onsen, the book says it is "the best in Kyoto" but doesn't say how to get there, only that it is a "trek" and past the Lawson's.
Considering that Lawson's is the most populous convenience store in Kyoto and that the road Funaoka Onsen is on is not marked on the Lonely Planet map, this does not help much.
If you are ever in Kyoto and looking for the Funaoka bath, here's what to do: Take the subway to Kitaoji, walk or take the 206 bus to Kenkun Jinjamae, turn left at the Family Mart, and keep down the road (Kuramadori) until the end.

Funaoka estimated about 15 students were working in the ECS labs when the building -- and most of the computers in it -- went fl.

The spacious, communal bathing area has been renovated but the changing rooms still have their original wood-relief ceilings and beautiful tiles.
