Amazon.ca: Books: The Story of Ruby Bridges
Coles tells the brief story of her daily walk past furious white adults, her time alone with her teacher in an otherwise empty classroom because white parents kept their children home, and the dramatic moment when she prays in front of the furious crowd for God to forgive them.
Coles cursorily finishes the tale of Ruby's unsettling year in an afterword (two boys and then the rest of the students returned to school; the mobs dispersed by the time Ruby entered second grade).
Cole also included an afterword about the story of Ruby Bridges and gave a place to get further information about her.

 George Formby
George was so furious, he went on strike, to register his anger at such an injustice, and did not work, in Britain, for at least a year.
George Formby – the ukulele-playing Lancashire icon, with the slicked-back Brycreem hair, and tombstone tooth grin, as wide as the grille on a Yankee Buick – was such a household word, in the 30s and 40s, his name tripped off your tongue faster than OK Sauce, or Coleman’s Mustard.
George and Beryl were in France, at the beginning of the war, and immediately after the D-Day Landings, they actually accompanied Monty, with his mobile headquarters, as they broke through the first defences, and sped forth into occupied Europe.

American Masters . George Cukor PBS
What Cukor inherited was another remake, an entertainingly written attempt at updating OLD ACQUAINTANCE, the John Van Druten play that became a Bette Davis-Miriam Hopkins vehicle in 1943; and he agreed to take it over because "the offers don't exactly come fast and furious anymore," and he couldn't find backing for his own projects.
Again, in A STAR IS BORN, Cukor's dramatic use of CinemaScope (the only truly successful approach to that unfortunate shape), the hand-held camera scenes and quick, nervous against-the-rules cutting, were too naturally effective to be singled out for praise at the time.
About Mason in A STAR IS BORN, Cukor said that it was "a case of letting him find things out for himself." As if the director knew exactly when to perform an act of inspired withdrawal, and let the moment take over.

In some versions of the story, George Crum got furious and tried to destroy the dish by re-slicing the potatoes way too thin, frying them for way longer than he should have, and then "ruining" them with way too much salt.
Because of George Crum's efforts, and the just-as-great innovation of the french fry, potatoes are the #1 vegetable eaten in America; not coincidentally, Americans also have a hugely high amount of bad cholesterol and many health problems associated with lazy dietary habits.
George Crum is sometimes described as Native American, and sometimes described as part-black and part-Indian--but he is always described as "ornery," so that's what we're going with.

Oliver's Army - In Alexander, Stone makes a mess of Mesopotamia. By David Edelstein
Alexander is packed with hundreds of thousands of warriors wielding long spears, with kinetic body smashings and face smushings, with intricately choreographed mano-a-mano stabbings and furious horse-, camel-, and elephant-back riding, but the editors must have had a stroke trying to make it all flow together.
Years ago, George Harrison had a one-line cameo on The Simpsons.
