	Fushigi Yūgi Genbu Kaiden - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		It tells the history of the creation of "The Universe of the Four Gods" and the story of the Genbu no Miko, or Priestess of Genbu, who is mentioned briefly in both the anime and the manga of the original Fushigi Yūgi, also written by Yuu Watase, to which Genbu Kaiden is a prequel.
		Fushigi Yūgi Genbu Kaiden has been licensed in English in North America by VIZ Media and in Singapore by Chuang Yi.
		In terms of basic storyline, Genbu Kaiden is like Fushigi Yūgi in that Takiko becomes the priestess, has to search for the 7 Celestial warriors, and is trying to summon the god so that she can receive 3 wishes.

		In the original Fushigi Yugi, one thing that always bothered me (and made me laugh like mad) was the sheer corniness of the romance between Miaka and Tamahome, like how Miaka falls in love with him after first meeting him, and all the constant "Miaka!" "Tamahome!" scenes.
		Being a really big fan of the Fushigi Yugi series that I was really excited that Yuu Watase started a new project after she said that the story was "finished".
