In Fuzuli’s case the use of the three languages was conditioned also by his particular environment, because all three tongues were in use in Iraq, which as known from history was in XVI c.

FUZULI, whose real name was Muhammad ibn Syleyman, is thought to have been born in 1495 in a small town in the region of Baghdad, Karbala or perhaps Najaf, where he served in his youth as keeper of the tomb of Caliph Ali.
Fuzuli demonstrates this in one of his major works, a verse novel inspired by the old Arab legend of Leyla and Mejnun.
Fuzuli also uses it to illustrate the sacrifice which such a passion calls for: instead of trying to forget his distress, Mejnun implores God to make his love grow stronger so that his suffering may exceed the bounds of anything that a human being can bear.

Fuzuli, the great exponent of the court or Divan school of Ottoman poetry, was born around 1494 in what was then part of the Safavid (Persian) Empire and is now northern Iraq.
His nome de plume means presumption /virtue/perfection, and Fuzuli was indeed an ambitious man, proud of his versatility in Azeri (a Turkish dialect), Arabic and Persian.
Fuzuli was only one of a galaxy of outstanding Divan poets, women included — Baqi, Sultan Suleyman, Hayali, Tashcali Yahya Bey, Ruhi-i Baghdad, Naili, Nedim, Seyh Galip.

Baku School #189 students and Baku School #41 students from eighth grade participated in a project called “The Great Azerbaijani Poet Muhammad Fuzuli.” The contribution and influence of Muhammad Fuzuli, one of the most famous Azeri-Turkish poets of fifteenth century, to Azerbaijani and world literature is great.
Fuzuli is called “the Master of Words” and is known for his philosophical poems, qazals etc.” (Materials from http://literature.aznet.org) Fuzuli wrote in three languages: Azeri Turkish, Persian and Arabic, and the world famous poem “Leyli and Majnun”; was written in Azeri Turkish.
The presentations were followed by discussions, where the students attempted to understand, what philosophical issues Fuzuli addresses in his poems.
