		BRITISH AEROSPACE yesterday finalised terms to take over GEC's Marconi electronics business and strengthen its pole position in European defence restructuring.
		The deal involves a de-merger of Marconi, the sale of the business to BAe and GEC shareholders ending up with paper in an enlarged BAe group.

		Unrest appears to be growing over the UK defence merger that will unite British Aerospace (BAe) and GEC Marconi.
