Canned by GEOS, other opportunities? - Outpost Nine Forums
GEOS would have to release your visa to another English school, and they won't do that w/o talking to them about their reasons/feelings why you're gone...
Also hope GEOS doesn't call immigration to cancel it, which they might well do (which would make you an over-stayer, subject to deportation, and unable to re-enter for something like 5 years).
No need in having eikaiwa teaching readers fear for their legal status in the country -- working for an eikaiwa is enough to worry about without the spectre of deportation looming over their heads.

 Geographies of the Eikaiwa Wonderland
Eikaiwa is a Japanese term that can be translated as “the activity of English conversation.” It is often used metonymically to mean an organization that teaches conversational English, particularly one of the big private English conversation schools.
The goals of this project were to investigate the character of gendered participation in private English conversation schools (eikaiwa) and to identify a set of historically-rooted social, cultural and economic factors that contribute to this situation.
The complex properties of the eikaiwa wonderland are constituted by an interaction between larger social modalities, such as the labor market and associated economic geographies of internationalization that condition the gendered participation, and the daily practices and rituals that take place within the physical spaces of eikaiwa.
