		In philosophy, physics, and other fields, a thought experiment (from the German term Gedankenexperiment, coined by Ernst Mach) is an attempt to solve a problem using the power of human imagination.
		Thought experiments have been used to pose questions in philosophy at least since Greek antiquity; a famous example is Plato's cave, but others pre-date Socrates.
		In physics and other sciences many famous thought experiments date from the nineteenth and especially the twentieth century, but examples can be found at least as early as Galileo.

		The VLBI observing frequencies of Metsähovi are 22 GHz, 43 GHz and 85 - 115 GHz.
		The 147 GHz experiment in March-April, 2001, was performed with Instituto de Radio Astronomia Milimetrica (IRAM) and Swedish-ESO Submillimetre Telescope (SEST).

		The signal at the frequency of 2.856 GHz was used as a references, since its amplitude does not depend on the bunch length.
		One also could see that analysis of high frequencies close to 20 GHz is needed to characterize the ATF beam, with a typical bunch length of the order of a few picoseconds.

	Testing Thermal Throttling in Pentium 4 CPUs with Northwood and Prescott cores
		For this purpose, we conducted a very simple experiment on two top Pentium 4 3.2 GHz CPUs, one with a Northwood core and the other with a Prescott.

	Shielding Effectiveness of a Thin Film Window - Storming Media
		This experiment measured the properties of a thin film developed by Sienna Technologies, Inc., through a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program.
		The objectives of this SBIR were to shield the system from EMI by at least 20 dB from 400 MHz to 18 GHz, and transmit at least 90% of the IR around 1 micrometer and between 8 - 12 micrometers.
		The error analysis of the shielding effectiveness showed that this predicted value was within the measurement error of the experiment.
