  Yoshitaka/Gigo Funakoshi, karate genius.
The training sessions were very exhausting, during these, Gigo expected his students to give twice as much the energy they would put in a real confrontation, thus they would be sure to be prepared for the actual situation if it were ever to arise.
Gigo was always held in high esteem, and respected by his students, thus he was in no way an impediment in the evolution of the, so-called, Shotokan style, and never created conflicts between Masters and students.
Among the main karatekas that participated in the training and development team that surrounded Gigo were Shigeru Egami and Genshin Hironishi.

  GIGO
GIGO is usually said in response to users who complain that a program did not "do the right thing" when given imperfect input or otherwise mistreated in some way.
This instance of GIGO could be described in a similar vein to WYSIWYG - what you see is what you get.
An example of this blind-faith GIGO mentality is to believe that your work, stored in a computer, will be there whenever you need it even though you never perform data backup or virus scan.

GIGO's had very slow development over the last year, especially compared to previous years; bug report handling has been pitiful; and the local fido people are probably considering replacing me as a fidonet hub because I only read my fidonet netmail every couple of weeks.
