	GIR (Invader Zim) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		GIR is one of the main characters from the animated television series Invader Zim.
		GIR is Zim's advanced, unfocused robot slave, easily influenced and impossible to fully control.
		Curiously, GIR is not utterly selfish and devoid of conscience, as he does do what Zim wants of him from time to time and often expresses his love for his master in ways that may make sense only to himself, like the random hugging sessions in Germs and Rise of the Zitboy.

		Gir, of course, proves to be less than useful to Zim's "conquest" of Earth, where Gir blends in with his green doggy suit.
		Gir's tubular little body looks good - his head positively dwarfs the rest of him, and while he's not the most mobile figure around, he does have a balljointed neck and shoulders, plus tiny tiny peg joints in his arms.
		Each of the Zim figures comes with a large display base that showcases the figure, but Gir's is more a second set of accessories for Zim than anything for himself.

		The genius behind Invader Zim, Johen Vasquez, jumped through all the network's stupid hoops, all their lame restrictions and still managed to create a show that was wonderfully subversive, and meant almost exclusively for adults.
		ZIM never jumped the shark, though after watching that insane Xmas special, the show was on the right path in doing so.
		Invader Zim is what I quote from a magazine I read "the coolest and funniest show to hit Nickelodeon since the 1st season of Ren and Stimpy".
