	GLOCK 18 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		It is a GLOCK 17 with a mode of fire selection switch on its slide that enables it to fire in semi-automatic or fully-automatic modes.
		The GLOCK 18 is (in the U.S.) a law enforcement-only pistol that is used along with a 31 or 33 round magazine.
		The difference between the GLOCK 18 and the GLOCK 18C is that the barrel and slide are ported on the C model to reduce muzzle climb while shooting the pistol.

		Glock themselves offer a training course specifically for the Glock 18, and at one point (not sure if they still do it) they wouldn't sell them to any customers in the US until they had taken the course.
		Glocks are extremely reliable, although to get that reliability they are not as tightly put together as some of the competition and accuracy is not in the same league as a SIG-Sauer for example.
		Glock started marking magazines with this warning this year, because they are worried about the adverse publicity caused by people smuggling in post-ban large capacity magazines that are illegal under US law.

		The KSC Glock 18C is also in a totally different class to the Maruzen UZI in terms of build quality.
		The KSC Glock 18C replicates the compensator vents of the real gun well (although they are just for effect on the airsoft version, as the inner barrel is, sensibly, not vented), but the engraved Glock logo and trademarks on the slide are too shallow, although accurate in design.
		I think the KSC Glock 18C is a great airsoft pistol in stock form (especially given the reasonable price it can be bought for) and it has great scope for upgrading to make it even better.

		The Glock 18C had no box, all I got was the gun, two magazines and a skimpy G18C leaflet - My original gun had come with a 17 manual and a more detailed 18C addendum, plus a loading tool, hop adjustment tool and BBs.
		My first task on receiving the Glock 18C (which actually turned out to be in fine fettle), was to strip it down and replace the slide, barrel and recoil rod and spring, with metal/uprated versions.
		This Glock 18C, like the one I owned before, in plastic form, was a bit fussy about the quality of BBs it is fed and prone to expel all it's gas when low, but otherwise performed pretty well in both semi and full auto mode.

		KSC is probably the number one airsoft Glock manufacture favoured by most airsoft players and this shouldn't be a suprise to anyone, from the release of the first Glock 17 to the newest Glock 19, each Glock was built to improve from the faults of the earlier versions.
		Apparently Glock Inc. has warned KSC for illegally using their trademarks and have threatened to take legal actions, therefore there are no Glock trademarks on the new Glock 19.
		Upgrades for the Glock 19 have not been released yet, but there should be the usual upgrades available for it, metal slides and outer barrels, hi flow valves, strengthened recoil and hammer springs and tn barrels.

		I had tried only 1 EBB before (the unbranded M9), but I was aware that Tokyo Marui made an extensive range and the select fire Glock 18C promised to be an interesting airsoft pistol to review.
		The Glock markings on the slide look OK and most of the features associated with the Glock 18C, the takedown lever, keyhole cutout in the slide, barrel vents, selector switch and the two part trigger are all visually well reproduced.
		The most noticeable difference between this and a real Glock 18C (to the eye) is the extra safety switch fitted to the front of the grip.

		Until the release of the 18, the only widely available fully automatic GBB pistols were the ungodly looking Beretta 93R, and the Robocop version of the same gun.

		There is also a KWA Glock 18c that comes with a metal slide devoid of all markings, but I am not sure whether it comes this way, or along the line somewhere a metal slide was added.
		The magazine that comes with the KWA Glock 18c has no “Glock” logo on the back of the mag, or on the base plate, but instead just has a blank area where it would be found.

		Ripping open the box and grabbing the gun, initially the Glock felt very light when I picked it up, but this was before I put the magazine in.
		With the 18c, you have to pull the base release catch down and slide off the base to expose the gas feed nozzle.
		I don't have a real Glock to compare it to, but I wouldn't be surprised if it weighs about the same as an unloaded one.

		Other than that, the KSC sports the same finger grooves as a current generation Glock, all the same trademarks(even on the bottom of the mag!), a metal serial number plate on the underside of the frame, and the same rails to mount accessories as found on the real weapon.
		Recoil on the Glock 18C is much more pronounced than with my SOCOM, and I must say that the Glock has a much better weight to it than the SOCOM.
		In summary, the KSC Glock 18C select fire gas blowback pistol is a great airsoft model that performs just as good as it looks.

		On the 18C, place the selector in the middle, and it acts as a safety as well...
		Regarding Glock safety catches in general, as long as you keep the gun holstered then it shouldn't be a problem.

		Reviewing the Glock 18c is a pleasure, in that it is such a practical gun, you dont have to think very hard to find worthwhile information.
		My friend has a glock18c, and his slide cracked where the slide catch is- also another common problem with the g18c when used on auto fire a lot with the stock plastic slide.
		The metal slide (bottom one) is NOT the KSC slide, but it does have the same markings, and as you can clearly see in the picture, it has the proper trademarks.
